Tenancy succession

Succession is when a tenancy is passed to another household member in the event of the death of the main tenant. There are limitations on the household members who can succeed.

Subletting

Subletting is essentially when you let a part or the whole of your property to another person, who effectively then becomes a sub tenant.

Pets

We understand that many households benefit from keeping a pet. Unless there is good reason, we will be happy to welcome your pet into your home.

Your Customer Partner

The relationship between our customers and our Customer Partners is the most important in the business. Our Partners, supported by colleagues, are empowered and accountable for making sure your receive the best possible service.

Adding a person to your tenancy

If you are a sole tenant you can request to change your tenancy to a joint tenancy. To be eligible the new proposed joint tenant needs to meet some simple requirements.

Anti-social behaviour

Everyone has the right to feel safe and secure in their own home - we want anyone living in or around a Trust home to be able to go about their day-to-day life without fear or feeling upset, scared or intimidated.

Domestic abuse

Making sure you feel safe in your own home is really important to us. If you’re experiencing domestic abuse or you’re worried about friends, family or neighbours, we’re here to help.

Mobility scooters

We realise that electric mobility scooters are not only becoming more affordable but are a fantastic way for people to continue to getting out and about. However, it's important that scooters are used and stored safely.

Digital help

We firmly support Scotland's Digital Participation Charter's mission to give everyone in Scotland the essential digital skills they need to do their jobs, live their lives, and confidently use different digital services.

Swapping your home

Is your home too big? Or maybe you’d like a change of scenery? Live closer to friends or family? Did you know you can swap homes with another tenant with a Scottish Secure Tenancy?

Trust, Bield and Hanover have been working in partnership since 2007 in relation to the allocation of a proportion of our properties across Scotland. After thoughtful consideration and collaborative discussions between our organisations, we have decided to pursue separate paths.
