New Director of Assets and Sustainability
We are delighted to announce that following an extensive recruitment process, we have appointed Jackie McIntosh as our new Director of Assets and Sustainability.
The recruitment process had to be carried out 'virtually' using Microsoft Teams and consisted of initial 'long list' interviews. The 'shortlist' candidates spent time with the Executive Team and some members of the Asset Management Team, followed by the final selection interview, involving our Chair, Vice Chair, Chair of Audit & Performance and the CEO.
Jackie is a housing professional with experience of all aspects of asset management and most recently of significant development projects. Jackie also currently has accountability for areas including partnership regeneration, property innovation, sustainability, asset growth and health and safety.
Jackie holds a Master of Philosophy in Housing Studies and a further qualification in Real Estate & Regeneration. Jackie joins us from the Wheatley Housing Group where she is Director of Property Development & Initiatives and Group Assets.
Jackie will join Trust in early summer. In the meantime Gail Gourlay will continue to lead the Asset Management team, supported by Jenny Wallace and Gregor Colville.
The appointment completes our new Executive Team who will lead on our new three-year business strategy, The Time is Now. Jackie will lead the Assets & Sustainability function, including our asset investment strategy, growing new build programme and taking a leading role on Trust's response to the Climate Emergency and our journey to net zero and a greener future.
