Trust AGM 2025 – Board Update

5th November 2025

We said farewell at our 2025 AGM to long-serving Board Member and Vice Chair Gordon Laurie, who stepped down after nine years of dedicated service. Gordon's contribution has been instrumental in shaping our strategic direction, strengthening governance, and delivering key projects. The AGM also formally marked Ian Gunning's departure who resigned in late 2024.

Three new Board Members - James Black, Laura Cameron and Katherine Wainwright - were formally elected at the AGM following a rigorous recruitment process. The process prioritised enhancing the skills we need to support our future ambitions with the three new appointees bringing range of diverse skills and expertise including organisational development, legal and commercial.

Dr Norval Bryson, Trust's Chair, expressed his gratitude to Gordon and Ian, and welcomed the new appointees:

“Gordon has made an incredible contribution to Trust over his time on the Board and has left a lasting legacy. During his tenure he has given nine years of dedicated service and has made a significant impact on shaping our organisation and driving Trust forward during a period of major transformation and growth. Gordon was also a great advocate for our customers and keeping us true to our purpose and values. Personally, also thanks to Gordon for his invaluable support as deputy Chair.

Also, thanks to Ian Gunning who left the Board towards the end of 2024. Ian joined as part of the promises we made when Wishaw & District Housing Association became part of Trust in 2019. Ian was a highly valued Board member and was always a strong voice for Wishaw and the surrounding area.

We are also delighted to welcome our three newly appointed Board members whose diverse experience and fresh perspectives will strengthen the Board as we continue to deliver on our strategic priorities.”
