Arran Care & Repair

Arran Care & Repair scheme was set up in 1998 and up to the 31 March 2005 had spent £805,774 on various repairs and improvements to private sector housing stock.  The service is provided by a Care & Repair Officer and a part time Clerical Assistant.

Care & Repair on Arran is jointly funded by North Ayrshire Council, Communities Scotland and NHS Ayrshire & Arran and managed by Isle of Arran Homes.  The project offers independent advice and assistance to help home owners repair and improve their homes so that they can remain comfortably at home in their own community.  The service is available to older owner-occupiers over the age of 60 years, but priority will be given according to age.
